From Sunday, 6 September until Monday, 9 November 2009, BAK, basis voor actuele kunst presents Surplus Value, a solo exhibition by Mona Vatamanu and Florin Tudor. The opening takes place on Saturday, 5 September 2009 at 16.00 hrs at BAK.

The exhibition Surplus Value by Romanian artists Mona Vatamanu and Florin Tudor presents a selection of works in a variety of media from 2000 to present day, as well as new productions made especially for this exhibition. On the occasion of Surplus Value BAK and post editions, Rotterdam release the monographic publication Mona Vatamanu and Florin TudorSurplus Value is the first research exhibition within the long-term project FORMER WEST (2008–2016).

On 8 November at 16.00 hrs, a finissage, organized within the framework of Cultural Sundays, Utrecht marks the conclusion of both the exhibition and the 1st FORMER WEST Congress.
