Education is what enables every person to judge for themselves what secures or endangers their freedom

As part of the exhibition To Seminar, BAK organizes a series of performances, talks, and public meetings inquiring how learning about, with, and through art can become a collective practice of thinking and acting out imaginaries alternative to those of the crises-ridden contemporary.

Drawing on his artistic PhD research, Jeremiah Day ponders the consequences of the relation between education and freedom. If education has to do with freedom—the right to dissent, to think differently, to act differently—then education is simply a tool of self-defense.
