Valentyna
Petrova
Valentyna Petrova is an artist and curator. Currently she lives and works in Kyiv. Her art education was through Course of Art, Kyiv (curated by Kateryna Badianova and Lada Nakonechna), and The School of Engaged Art, St. Petersburg (run by Chto Delat). Her artistic practice primarily focuses on the themes of work, poverty, discursive violence, and institutional critique. She studies the performative through form. Her approach to formulating a statement involves special attention to context, to the political, and to objectlessness.
