Caycedo

Carolina Caycedo is an artist whose work contributes to the construction of environmental historical memory as a fundamental element for the non-repetition of violence against human and nonhuman entities. Caycedo’s work aims to generate a debate about the future in relation to common goods, environmental justice, just energy transition, and cultural biodiversity. Recent solo exhibitions include From the Bottom of the River, Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, Chicago, 2021; Cosmotarrayas, Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston, 2020; Wanaawna, Rio Hondo and Other Spirits, Orange County Museum of Art, Santa Ana, 2019; and Care Report, Muzeum Sztuki, Łodź, 2019. Caycedo lives and works in Los Angeles.
