Zou

Carol Zou is an artist, writer, educator, and an organizer who facilitates creative social change projects with a focus on racial justice, informal labor, and public space. Her work focuses on the relationship between art, culture, community, and activism. Current and past affiliations include Yarn Bombing Los Angeles, Los Angeles; Michelada Think Tank, San Diego; Trans.lation Vickery Meadow, Dallas; Project Row Houses at the University of Houston, Houston; Asian Arts Initiative, Philadelphia; and Little Tokyo Service Center, Los Angeles. Zou has been awarded fellowships and residencies from Santa Fe Art Institute, Santa Fe; Intercultural Common Field; and Rebuild Foundation at Place Lab, University of Chicago, Chicago. Zou lives and works in Los Angeles.
