Featuring writing by Sia and images selected by Pattison, it is a brief history on the development of time-keeping technologies. The clock is disassembled as a political tool, a metronome of coercion and an accelerant of war power. Out of these mechanisms, resistant counter-tempos emerge.<\/p>\n<p>Also presented as part of <em>Prospections<\/em> \u201cNo Linear Fucking Times\u201d focus is Sia and Pattison\u2019s eleven-minute video work <a href=\"https:\/\/archive2.bakonline.org\/prospections\/sea-shipping-sun\/\"><em>SEA \u2013 SHIPPING \u2013 SUN<\/em><\/a> (2021), which deals with related themes of time-keeping, maritime trade, and capitalist measures and rhythms.<\/p>\n<h6><i>Weird Times<\/i> was originally commissioned by The Douglas Hyde Gallery, Dublin and produced by Tiffany Sia and Yuri Pattison in response to Pattison&#8217;s solo exhibition<i> the engine <\/i>(2020\u20132021), The Douglas Hyde Gallery, Dublin.<\/h6>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><em>Weird Times<\/em> (2021) is een chapbook van 30 pagina&#8217;s door kunstenaars Tiffany Sia en Yuri Pattison over de tijd aflezen en hegemonie.
