Blas engages the materiality of digital technologies while also drawing out the philosophies and imaginaries lurking in artificial intelligence, biometric recognition, predictive policing, airport security, the internet, and biological warfare.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Blas has exhibited, lectured, and held screenings at venues internationally. His work is in the collections of Museo Universitario Arte Contempor\u00e1neo (University Museum of Contemporary Art), Mexico City, National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea, Seoul, and Whitney Museum of American Art, New York. Blas\u2019s practice been written about and featured in <em>Artforum<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Frieze<\/em>,\u00a0<em>ArtReview<\/em><em>,\u00a0<\/em><em>BBC<\/em><em>,\u00a0<\/em><em>The Guardian<\/em>, and\u00a0<em>The New York Times<\/em>. Blas\u2019s writings can be found in the collections\u00a0<em>You Are Here: Art After the Internet <\/em>(2018),\u00a0<em>Documentary Across Disciplines <\/em>(2016),\u00a0<em>Queer <\/em>(Whitechapel: Documents of Contemporary Art, 2016), as well as <em>e-flux journal<\/em> and various exhibition catalogs. Blas is\u00a0co-editor of the anthology <em>Informatics of Domination <\/em>(with Melody Jue and Jennifer Rhee, forthcoming).
