De \u2018critical reader\u2019\u00a0Citizens and Subjects: The Netherlands, for example<\/em>\u00a0fungeert als een plek waar thema\u2019s als angst, verontrusting en (illegale) immigratie, maar ook culturele weerstand en emancipatie besproken worden vanuit de Nederlandse situatie, die hier noch als specifiek noch als universeel voorbeeld wordt gebruikt voor het bediscussi\u00ebren van de omstandigheden in het zogeheten Westen. De vraag wordt gesteld hoe kunst en kunstenaars kunnen reageren op deze vraagstukken en welke mogelijkheden zij kunnen cre\u00ebren om er op een andere manier naar te kijken. De reader is geredigeerd door filosoof\u00a0Rosi Braidotti, curator en schrijver\u00a0Charles Esche\u00a0en\u00a0Maria Hlavajova.<\/p>\n
