The discussion starts with an introduction to the practice of Urban Front by co-founders David Harvey and Miguel Robles-Durán. Since its presentation in the Chicago Architecture Biennial in 2019, Urban Front has aimed to reinvent forms of practice in the field of urban research and planning, providing trans-disciplinary research support, tactical directions and critical advice to diverse governments and organizations. But how was Urban Front developed, and how does it fit in the current scenario of the neoliberal city? What are its mechanism to create new forms of urban practice more akin to today’s capitalist condition?
