Phil Collins (born 1970) is a video and installation artist who, through his intense engagement with his subjects, examines both the representation and reality of their social and political situations. He is Professor of Video Art at Academy of Media Arts Cologne, Cologne. Recent exhibitions include: the meaning of style, Gallery of Modern Art, Queensland Art Gallery, Brisbane, 2012; Revolution vs. Revolution, Beirut Art Center, Beirut, 2012; and Phil Collins: marxism today, British Film Institute, London, 2011.
