The Art of Creating a State

A public discussion with the participants of the fourth New World Academy (NWA) on the role of art and culture in the creation of new states takes place on 19 October 2014 from 17.00–19.00 hrs.

Speakers include: Moussa Ag Assarid (writer and Eurpean representative of the National Liberation Movement of Azawad), Mazou Ibrahim Touré (artist, Artist Association of Azawad), Remco van Bladel (graphic designer, Amsterdam), Gabriëlle Provaas (filmmaker, Amsterdam), Simon P. Sapioper, (representative of the National Government of the Republic of West Papua), Rob Schröder (filmmaker, Amsterdam), Yazan Khalili (artist), Iva Petkovic (representative of the Unrepresented Nations and Peoples Organisation, UNPO) and the participants of this fourth NWA.
