collective
Cooperativa Cráter Invertido is a collective of 11 artists and activists educated in visual arts and free media who run an archival space that functions as a workshop for multidisciplinary projects, a forum for various events, and as an exhibition space. Their activities converge around a common printing machine from which they share tools and knowledge, and participate in the creation of an independent editorial network in Mexico. The collective describes its project as a space to gather and work and share dialogue together—clustering all kinds of matter. Currently, Cooperativa Cráter Invertido projects include a free media experience and sound editorial called Radio Tropiezo; a co-op of co-ops, dedicated to the full editorial cycle; more informal seminars and working groups; and a collective house being built in Oaxaca by Diego Teo and Dasha Chernysheva. Among others, Cráter Invertido has participated in the Gwangju Biennale, Gwangju, 2016; the 56th Venice Biennale, All the World’s Futures, Venice, 2015; and the Jakarta Biennale, Neither Back Nor Forward: Acting in the Present, Jakarta, 2015.
